The spirit of philanthropy is certainly still alive and well as Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (‘TAR UC’) Student Loan Fund added another distinguished contributor to its list of loan donors with the setting up of the TARC-MCA Selayang Student Loan.

A agreement signing ceremony was held on 2 March 2020 to mark this  occasion, and in attendance were Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai, Chairman of the Board of Governors of TAR UC, Datuk Goh Ah Ling, MCA Selayang Chairman, and Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UC.

“We are blessed to have the support of MCA Selayang, who has generously donated RM100,000 to our Student Loan Fund,” said Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai. “With this latest addition, TAR UC Student Loan Fund now has 41 donor loans, and I hope that more new donors will come forward to be part of this noble undertaking.”

Previously known as the TARC Student Loan Fund, the revolving, interest-free TAR UC Student Loan Fund was established in 1979 with the intention to provide financial support to the needy and deserving students to complete their tertiary studies at TAR UC.
