The teams were required to present in front of a panel of judges in each stage of the competition. TAR UC’s Champion team consisting of Chiew Meng Tak, Liew Hung Hian, Carlos Wong Fook Chin and Yap Chuan Min who showed great teamwork in brainstorming and producing excellent ideas and solutions which were required in each stage of the competition. “The product that was assigned to us was an air purifier. The product itself posed a challenge to us as it is a very common product. Hence, we really needed a lot of creative juice to differentiate and highlight the special features of the air purifier. To make matters worse, we did not know all the requirements for each stage of the competition beforehand”, Carlos Wong, the leader of the team, shared on the challenges the team faced during the competition.

“Due to time constraint, it was vital for all of us to work as a team. And this is a norm for us as we are constantly required to work in teams for our assignments in TAR UC. The competition was also a good training ground in terms of nailing the presentation part of the competition because as TAR UC students, we are given ample opportunities to do presentations in classes where we sharpen not only our presentation skills but also public speaking. Lastly, all of us are grateful to our lecturers who gave us full support in terms of technical knowledge as well as moral support,” Carlos Wong continued.

The Champion team walked away with cash prize of RM3,000, individual Champion trophy, the Best Elevator Pitch Award and Chiew Meng Tak was named as the 'Most Impressive Participant' in the competition.
