24 February 2017 marked a momentous occasion for TARC Education Foundation donors and long-serving staff of TAR UC as they were given due recognition for their bountiful contributions towards the institution. This is the third time that the institution has organised the Recognition Ceremony since its inception in 2014.

In a joyous ceremony held at TAR UC’s Kuala Lumpur Main Campus, 21 donors were recognised and appreciated for their contribution towards TARC Education Foundation for the construction of the Student Centre since 2010, while 147 staff members of TAR UC who have served the institution for 15 years and above were celebrated for their invaluable dedication towards the University College.

The ceremony was graced by YBhg Datuk Yew Teong Look, Member of the Board of Trustees of TARC Education Foundation, YBhg Dato’ Yap Kuak Fong and Mr Adrian Yeo Eng Hui, both Members of the Board of Governors of TAR UC, and Datuk Dr Tan Chik Heok, President of TAR UC.

In his speech, YBhg Datuk Yew praised and thanked all the donors and staff for their remarkable contributions towards TAR UC. “In our current construction plans for the new Student Centre, we certainly need contributions from the university and the alumni in order to make it a success. So, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dato’ Yap and Mr Adrian for their continuous efforts in contributing towards the institution. I would also like to thank all the 21 donors today for their generous donations towards our institution.”

“As for all the long-serving staff, your loyalty to the university college is admirable. Although being in the education line is not easy, it is nevertheless, meaningful especially when we see our graduates go on to become leaders and successful individuals in life. I therefore salute all the academic staff and all other staff of TAR UC for their consistent dedication towards the institution,” he added.

The donors were given recognition based on five different levels of contribution, which are Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Certificate of Recognition. They were honoured with plaques and certificates.

As for the Long Service Awards, the qualified staff from Kuala Lumpur Main Campus and all the branch campuses were presented with tokens of appreciation and certificates.
