TAR UC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) from Indonesia on 9 April 2021, a joint effort to enhance both institutions’ higher education quality via international exposure.

Over 100 participants attended the virtual MoU signing ceremony between the two higher education institutions including Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UC, and Dr Ir Arief Kusuma Among Praja, Rector of UEU, Indonesia, who are looking forward to working together in developing, promoting and cooperating in activities aimed at contributing to the needs and demands for better higher education in Malaysia and Indonesia respectively.

“Our countries have always been close and played key roles in the South East Asia region both culturally and historically. With the rise of internationalisation and mobility across the globe, this MoU with UEU will be an opportunity for students from both institutions to diversify their learning experience via activities such as engagements, student exchanges, joint academic research, and other collaborative efforts.

“TAR UC is looking forward to the day we welcome UEU students to our Beyond Education experience in Malaysia,” said Prof Ir Dr Lee.

“I am grateful that we have signed this MoU which will benefit not just both our institutions, but also to our stakeholders – students, businesses, industries, societies and nations.

“At UEU, we believe we grow and work best via collaborations and open-minded exchanges, so we are looking forward to exchanging experience and knowledge with TAR UC. We sincerely hope this MoU will be a start of a long and fruitful relationship between our institutions, just like the bilateral relationship our countries have shared over the years,” said Dr Ir Arief Kusuma.

The virtual MoU signing ceremony was followed by a joint collaboration activity between TAR UC and UEU - an international webinar featuring Dr Chong Wei Ying, Principal Lecturer, Faculty of Accountancy, Finance and Business (FAFB), TAR UC, and Dr Semerdanta Pusaka, Vice Dean of Economic and Business Faculty, UEU, as the speakers.
