March Convocation Spurs Hopeful Graduates

The KL Main Campus in Setapak was in a celebratory mood from 17 – 22 March 2022 for the March 2022 Convocation ceremony that saw over 2,500 TAR UC students receiving their scrolls in the grand UC hall in front of their friends, families and loved ones who were permitted to attend this ceremony albeit with proper safety procedures and protocols in place.

As a glint of hope envelops the world approaching the endemic stage after two years of challenge due to the pandemic, the graduates will be taking up the mantle to challenge themselves in the post-pandemic era while forging their own respective future.

“We are living in a world fraught with challenges and uncertainty that disrupt our everyday lives, but in those challenges there are also opportunities to step up, adapt, evolve and overcome.

“So I encourage our graduands to take advantage of this period of uncertainty. Use the education you have obtained at TAR UC to guide your decisions, and have confidence in your capabilities to do great things. At TAR UC, you already experienced and learned Beyond Education, our learning philosophy for all TAR UC students. With that, you will be able to answer your calling and contribute back to society,” said Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UC, in his speech.

It may be the end of their tertiary education journey for many of the graduands, but the convocation is the starting point of the next chapter in their lives.

“I was very excited to complete my graduation because now I am fully ready to face the challenges that will come in my career journey,” said Lim Bing Yi, who completed his Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics (Hons).

Bing Yi’s excellent academic performance also led him to be the well-deserved recipient of the CIOB Certificate award and Professor Chin Fung Kee Memorial Prize.

On his decision to study at TAR UC, Bing Yi added: “Even if I could choose again, I would definitely choose TAR UC which gave my study life an extraordinary experience which I will never forget.”
