"Feels good to be back!"

That is the general sentiment as TAR UC welcomes back physical student events to the KL Main Campus.

And what a better way to do so with a huge event, namely the exciting FCCI Film Festival ('FFF') 2022 held on 14 - 15 April 2022, aptly themed "New Chapter" to mark new beginnings for the institution and student activities in 2022.

Organised by students from the Faculty of Communication & Creative Industries ('FCCI') and Student Representative Council ('SRC'), the event was held to provide a platform to recognise and motivate students to demonstrate their innate talents in film-making.

"I understand that this event was meant to be held before the pandemic began, but I am very excited to see FFF 2022 as the first physical event since the pandemic because this event is not just a showcase, but a perfect example of hands-on learning process we practise at TAR UC.

"FFF 2022 enables students to go beyond classroom learning to cultivate different skills and knowledge that will lead students to discover their true passion and potential, and I look forward to many more events like this from our students," said Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei in his opening speech.

The two-day event was filled with a variety of interesting activities. There were workshops on stuntwork, photography, and script writing for those who were interested in the film-making industry, while exclusive screening sessions, a photo exhibition and singing performances were featured for those who appreciated the visual and performing arts.

FFF 2022 also featured a special award ceremony, a simulation of a real film festival event where eight shortlisted student-produced short films were screened in the auditorium before awards were given to the films that captured the spirit of cinematography.
