TAR UC - SASS Ink MoU to Consolidate Mutual Ties

TAR UC has deepened its connections with one of its overseas research centres by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) on 3 December 2019. SASS and TAR UC will continue to work on scholarly work especially in research and researcher exchanges, joint conferences and collaborative research projects to promote international social, economic and financial growth.

SASS, founded in 1958, is China’s oldest institution for humanities and social sciences. Its areas of studies include economics, finance, law, literature, history, philosophy and sociology. Its research and publications are particularly influential among the policy-makers of its country and the public.

“I hope that this MoU will further enhance the strong relationship between the two institutions,” said Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai, Chairman of the Board of Governors, TAR UC, who was present during the signing of the MoU. “I would like to encourage both TAR UC and SASS to contribute to the friendly bilateral relations between China and Malaysia and create a better tomorrow for all!”

The MoU was signed by Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UC and Prof Zhu Guohong, Vice President (In Charge of International Cooperation), SASS.
