It was smiles all around as two teams of Bachelor of Creative Multimedia (Hons) students clinched the 2nd and 3rd prizes in the Creative Multimedia category at the Autodesk Malaysia Design Competition (AMDC 2016) on 8 May 2017. Their achievements were announced during the prize-giving ceremony held at Dewan Za’ba, Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Putrajaya.

Ng Yann Chi, Grace Tan Ying Ling, Foo Zhi Chien and Vincent Tan Kim Hock won 2nd prize with their video animation entitled ‘Artic Meltdown’. They took home a trophy and cash prize of RM2,000. The second team who bagged the 3rd prize with their animation entitled ‘Bin’, consisted of Leong Weng Hong and Tan Chee Chong who walked away with a trophy and cash prize of RM1,000.

Under the guidance and supervision of their lecturer, Ms Woon Szu Pei, it was a long journey to sweet success as the two teams submitted their entries for the AMDC 2016 competition in November 2016 before making it to the top 16 finalist workshop that was held in February 2017.

The Autodesk Malaysia Design Competition is a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Education, Prestariang, Autodesk, National Design Centre and Universiti Teknologi Mara.
