6 faculties in TAR UC have been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification after having successfully fulfilled all the requirements. Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UC, presented the ISO 9001:2015 certificate to the Assoc Prof Sr Ooi Lay Yong, Dean of the Faculty of Built Environment, Ms Dearna Kee June Chen, Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Creative Industries, Ts Lim Mei Shyan, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Ts Dr Chew Khoon Hee, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr Karthiyani a/p Shanmugam, Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, and Assoc Prof Dr Loke Chui Fung, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences on 15 February 2019.
TAR UC is certified to have implemented and maintained a Quality Management System for the provision of Education Services to Diploma and Bachelor degree for the faculties which fulfills the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. This certification which was certified by SIRIM is valid from 6 February 2018 until 5 February 2021.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification initially covered the Faculty of Applied Sciences in the first year of certification. It has now expanded to the rest of abovementioned five faculties with effect from May 2018 semester. In the near future, the ISO certification is expected to be expanded to the remaining faculty and centre at Kuala Lumpur Main Campus and five branches in Penang, Perak, Johor, Sabah and Pahang.
The institution will continue to uphold the Quality Policy of Quality Management System to achieve higher customer satisfaction, through continuously improving on effective quality management system to enhance the quality of products and services and to comply with the applicable regulatory requirements.
