40th Blood Donation Campaign

In order to help ease the alarming shortage of blood supply in the local blood bank, 63 members of the First Aid Unit (FAU) organized the 40th Blood Donation Campaign (BDC) together with Hospital Pulau Pinang and Hospital Seberang Jaya.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Lee Pey Huey, Deputy Head of Penang Branch Campus, medical officers from Hospital Pulau Pinang, Organizing President of BDC, Mr. Leng Kwang Hui, Organizing Vice President of BDC, Mr. Gan Wei How, FAU members and student helpers. The opening ceremony of the 40th BDC started at 11 a.m. on 7 August 2018.
From a total of 583 volunteered donors, 463 of them were accepted, while 120 were rejected due to various reasons.
