TAR UC Penang collaborates with PYDC in the
1st International Youth Conference 2021

TAR UC Penang Branch Campus collaborated with Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) in the 1st International Youth Conference 2021 which was held virtually on 13 November 2021. The theme of the conference was "The Role of Youth in the Era of Industry 4.0".
The keynote speakers were Professor Krishna Bista from Morgan State University, USA, Associate Professor Dr Mousumi Mukherjee from O.P. Jindal Global University, India, and Dr Hohamed Maliki Hohamed Rapiee, P.J.K., Director of International Youth Center, Malaysia.
The conference saw more than 400 youths from seven countries presenting their papers on various issues related to youths today. Among the topics were mental and physical health among youths, cyberbullying, youth and Industry 4.0, youth and the Internet, teenage pregnancy, youth volunteerism, youth education, youth entrepreneurship, youth empowerment and youth leadership.
Participants competed for the Best Paper, Best Poster, and Top 35 Best Presenter Awards. The Best Paper award was won by Gan Kia Hui for her paper, "Does the Psychosocial Safety Climate Factor Matter in the Education Industry? Perspectives of Young Academicians” while Lim Shu Zhen won the Best Poster award for her poster entitled "Internet Addiction: An Emerging Problem Among Malaysian Youth".
