Goal

SME Centre strives to be a One-Stop Center for academics and industry to instill and foster the collaborative innovations that can drive the nation's economic growth.

Objective

1. To bridge the gap between academia and industry through collaborations and create a better future for our community, nation and the world.
2. To enhance R&D activities with the industry in TAR UMT’s academic, research and commercialization endeavours, thus improving the links between the university and SMEs/SMIs.
3. To allow access to TAR UMT’s facilities and high-caliber staff, thus allowing practitioners’ inputs to the curriculum and networking with the local community.
4. To enable knowledge transfer as part of the support to the SMEs/SMIs toward business innovation.
5. To provide a tangible avenue for TAR UMT staff, students, and communities to be involved in real business and industrial projects.
6. To incubate creative, innovative and ingenious talents to channel their ideas into successful businesses and positively impact the nation.
