At Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), our academic quality is taken very seriously. It is for this very reason that all our programmes undergo a rigorous and thorough review process to ensure they fulfil the highest standards.

Provisional Accreditation: A Strong Foundation

Each programme in TAR UMT obtains Provisional Accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) (https://www2.mqa.gov.my/pasp/), which ensure that the programme meets MQA's essential requirements. Such practices reiterate our stand in providing a solid foundation for your education.

MOHE Approval: Ready to Welcome You

Approval by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) on our programmes is crucial before any student is granted admittance into TAR UMT programmes. This establish TAR UMT’s authority to accept student enrolment into any programme offered within the institution. 

Full Accreditation: Excellence Recognised

Full Accreditation by the MQA is sought by TAR UMT once the first cohort of a programme reaches their final semester or due for re-accreditation. The Full Accreditation rigorous review process evaluates the programme's effectiveness and makes sure it exceeds all MQA standards. Programmes that obtain Full Accreditation are then listed in the Malaysian Qualifications Register (MQR) (https://www2.mqa.gov.my/mqr/), a national register of accredited programmes.

JPA Recognition: Streamlined for Public Service

Recognition for any programme is documented through national registries. For programmes offered before December 2016, the platform which manages recognition is the e-sisraf system under MOHE (https://www2.mqa.gov.my/esisraf/). However, as of January 2017, MQA now oversees programme recognition for the Malaysian Government via the e-sisraf system. Each new programme recognition is registered in the MQR, which provides a centralised and efficient system, especially useful for inventory of careers within the public sector.
