Abstract
Facebook Text Delight is a feature whereby certain keywords will have different colours auto-assigned to it, heightening user expressions. However, these colours are auto-assigned and only restricted to certain words or phrases. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the accuracy of the colour assigned and the percival of users towards the colours. We collected our data from different socio-demographic Facebook users. A survey was carried out alongside a series of posts with similar content but different colours on Facebook. Our results show that Facebook Text Delight may not reflect user’s emotions accurately.
