On 29 March 2026, the TAR UMT ultimate frisbee team, Hunters, won first place at the Nottingham Ultimate Battle Royale 2026. In the final match, they defeated Xiamen University Malaysia with a close score of 9–8.

The team showed great teamwork throughout the competition. Team Captain Desmond Tiong Zhi Seng, a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science student, said that every player played a vital role in the win.

"Every one of my teammates stepped up and did an amazing job. They showed their true skills and helped bring home this championship," he said.

The Hunters are now preparing for their next big goal: the Malaysia University Ultimate Championship (MUUC). Last year, they finished in second place, but this year they are aiming for the top spot.

"We are proud of the team for playing well when it mattered. Now, we are ready for the next challenge and determined to take that final step," he added.
