TAR UC Bolsters Ties with Hospitality Industry

The signing of the MoU was completed by Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei and Pn Hashimah Ismail and witnessed by Mr Tan Seng Chye (leftmost), and Dr Karthiyani Shanmugam (rightmost).

In a move to further enhance and improve its hospitality programmes, TAR UC inked a Memorandum of Understanding (‘MoU’) with Plenitude Management Services Sdn Bhd on 26 January 2022.

Following the formalisation of the MoU, both parties will be working together on providing internship opportunities, industrial training, joint projects, academic programme collaborations, workshop, sharing of knowledge and other initiatives that are mutually beneficial.

“At TAR UC, we believe that bridging the gap between education and employer is vital so that our graduands can transition smoothly from a student to a contributing employee,” said Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UC. “This is very much in line with the UC’s Beyond Education philosophy, which is essentially our continuous endeavour to provide our students with broader learning experiences that go beyond conventional classroom learning, to prepare and equip them with the knowledge and skills to be work-ready upon graduation and empower them to lead a fulfilling life and career.”

The MoU was signed by both Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei and Pn Hashimah Ismail, Director of Plenitude International and witnessed by Mr Tan Seng Chye, CEO of Plenitude Bhd and Dr Karthiyani Shanmugam, Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (‘FSSH’) at TAR UC.
