Creativity, Communication and Collaborative Project ('CCCP'), the yearly University of Salford ('UoS') Dual Awards project organised by UoS and the Faculty of Social Science, Arts and Humanities ('FSAH') of TAR UC, was held at Kuala Lumpur Main Campus on 27 June - 4 July 2016.

The programme was conducted by UoS academics, namely Mark Scargill, Robin Ellis, Juan Hiriart, Sian Rolland, Marek Bekerman, Carl Tam, and joined by Chloe Boey, Eevee Chau, Jason Kong, Nicholas Chee and Sunny Tat, the first batch of TAR UC-UoS Study Abroad students, during which they shared their overseas experiences with 2nd and 3rd year students of Multimedia, Graphic and Fashion Design, Broadcasting and Journalism programmes.

"The Dual Award has made collaborative training between two institutions very relevant because students can attain higher qualification and better employment in their final year," said Scargill, Programme Leader of Design for Digital Media. "Students who opt for the Study Abroad have the opportunity to travel around the UK and to experience different surroundings."

The one-week 20-UK credits CCCP project provides opportunity for TAR UC Bachelor's degree students to widen their learning exposure. The CCCP project features in-depth academic project and career-defining path through valuable international collaborative teaching. Students benefit within a cross-disciplinary teamwork and learn the uniqueness of Salford, Manchester, as well as the local heritage of Malaysian galleries and museums via critical and creative research guided by UoS academics.

"Digital revolution has transformed communication landscape across the world, as we seek digital platforms that develop messages across the environment which expand experiences by having collaborative projects like this CCCP," said Robin Ellis, Lecturer in Media. "The TAR UC-UoS Study Abroad students have quite an experience and we are absolutely amazed by the initiatives showed by these students in broadcast and filmmaking."

"The study abroad programme is a boost to self-independence as we learned to view things in different perspective, as the programme emphasises on the importance of research, and that context is everything to a design," said Jason Kong, Graphic Design alumni of TAR UC-UoS Study Abroad.

"My study abroad experience had provided me an insight into how overseas industry works. I feel that I am well-equipped with information which prepares me for the working environment and build my confidence," said Chloe Boey, Graphic Design alumni of TAR UC-UoS Study Abroad.

TAR UC–UoS Dual Award collaboration started since 2014 which caters to both students choosing to complete the Dual Award programme locally in TAR UC and those who wish to spend one semester to study abroad in UoS, UK to imbue themselves with global trends and expand professional opportunities which is a major aspect of university education to have "Globalisation" and "International Skills" as part of every student's learning experience.
