TAR UC recently marked a new milestone in its history when TAR UC emerged as winner of three awards at the Sin Chew Education Awards 2018 / 19 on 25 January 2019 namely the Outstanding Educational Institutions: Private Universities / Colleges Award, Product Award and CSR Award.
Beaming with pride, Prof. Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UC, expressed his delight with the institution’s achievement. “Our commitment towards widening access to quality and affordable education to all deserving students is deeply ingrained in our roots. These recognitions are indeed testament to the vision and commitment which TAR UC has been upholding for the past 50 years,” said Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei.
“As TAR UC will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, these awards are a meaningful recognition of how far this institution has come. It is a clear reflection of our efforts for the past 5 decades in delivering top-notch education where we have nurtured more than 200,000 high-flying graduates who have gone on to become industry captains, successful entrepreneurs, national leaders and prominent professionals in their respective fields, contributing to the growth of human capital in Malaysia,” he added.
The three awards accorded to TAR UC is a recognition of the institution’s consistent effort in widening access to its quality and affordable education for more than 5 decades. Such commitment has nurtured more than 200,000 successful graduates who are now well-known leaders in their respective fields. The accolades are also an affirmation of the quality of TAR UC’s most highly acclaimed accountancy programme which has proven to have prepared many students to not only successfully obtain the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ (ACCA) qualification but also many have been ranked as top in Malaysia and among the best in the world for many papers. In addition, TAR UC holds ACCA’s Platinum Approved Learning Partner status which places it among the top 5% of ACCA learning providers in the world and TAR UC is also the only institution in the world to conduct the Internally Assessed ACCA Fundamentals programme.
Meanwhile, TAR UC’s efforts in inculcating positive values in the students through volunteering work and social outreach programmes were also feted in the award ceremony. Apart from fundraising projects, TAR UC students are also exposed to other high impact CSR projects which include environmental projects, interactive educational projects and community services.
