The latest collaboration established by TAR UC is with the Malaysia Innovation Hub ('MIH') where the MoU signing ceremony took place on 18 April 2016 at Kuala Lumpur Main Campus. Datuk Dr Tan Chik Heok, President of TAR UC was present to sign the MoU together with Mr Vincent Wong Wai Sang, CEO of MIH.
The MoU will pave the way for both TAR UC and MIH to collaborate and co-operate to work towards creating a successful innovation ecosystem in Malaysia as envisaged under the Malaysia Education Blueprint for Higher Education. "This MoU is a milestone for TAR UC as it opens up great opportunities to strengthen creativity and innovation among the staff of TAR UC. Working with MIH will also help link TAR UC to other industries or countries which may require the expertise and innovation developed by our staff," Datuk Dr Tan Chik Heok explained in his opening speech.
Mr Vincent Wong elaborated further about this MoU as he said: "Collaborating with TAR UC is pivotal for MIH because TAR UC is well recognised and known to have produced many outstanding alumni, who, in a way form the backbone of the corporate scene in Malaysia. With such academic strength in its grasp, MIH is privileged to collaborate with TAR UC towards transforming Malaysia into an innovative nation".
TAR UC's collaboration with MIH will kick start with a number of projects namely the Bird Nest Processing System, Sago Harvesting Machine, Design of the Science Park at KLIA, and Business Plans and Management of the New Start-up Companies.
