26 November 2025 marked an exciting milestone for the iSpark International Pitching Competition (IIPC) 2025, as it was held outside Malaysia for the first time at Jiangxi Vocational College of Foreign Studies in China. With the theme “Collective Intelligence. Global Connectivity,” the competition brought together 270 young entrepreneurs, 70 innovative projects, and participants from 16 universities across 8 countries. TAR UMT stood out on this global stage, with our student teams delivering strong pitches and walking away with impressive wins, including a First Prize, as well as several Second and Third Prize awards.

The event went beyond competition results. It also saw the launch of the IIPC Alliance, bringing together 21 universities and enterprises to strengthen collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship across ASEAN and China. TAR UMT researchers also took part in the Commercialisation Showcase, presenting industry-focused innovations that demonstrated real-world potential. Altogether, IIPC 2025 marked an important step forward, not just for the competition, but for building long-term global connections and impact.
