TAR UMT and KLVA Team Up

With the stroke of a pen, TAR UMT and the Kuala Lumpur Volleyball Association (KLVA) have officially joined forces, ready to tackle new challenges and score big wins for the growth and development of sports in Malaysia. 

The momentous day on 4 April 2023 saw both parties sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at TAR UMT’s KL Campus, paving the way for exciting opportunities and progress for the future of volleyball.

Together, TAR UMT and KLVA will leverage on their respective strengths and resources to focus on enhancing overall athletic performance, providing access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, and fair play. 

Prof Ir Dr Lee Sze Wei, President of TAR UMT expressed his excitement about the partnership that embodies the Beyond Education philosophy by unleashing the full potential of students. 

"This collaboration will inspire and empower the next generation of athletes, while instilling valuable life lessons that extend far beyond the playing field and classroom," he said.

The MoU was signed by Prof Ir Dr Lee and Dato Tony Looi, President of KLVA with Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai, Chairman of the Board of Governors of TAR UMT, who was present to witness the momentous occasion. This partnership builds upon the success of TAR UMT's past collaborations with KLVA that already produced exceptional students who were also TAR UMT Sport Scholarship recipients.
