Jointly organised by the Construction Industry Development Board (‘CIDB’) Malaysia and Chartered Institute of Building (‘CIOB’) Malaysia, the CIDB-CIOB Novus Youth Arena convention held at TAR UC from 18 – 19 October 2019 was the perfect place for students and industry experts to exchange ideas and knowledge.

Held at TAR UC for the first time, the convention saw the participation of more than 450 students from 14 universities.

“Careers in construction are considered very demanding,” said Sr Ida Zuraisa Mohd Yusoff, Senior General Manager (Contractor & Levy), CIDB during her opening address. “However, through the Novus Youth Arena, I am confident that we will produce a dedicated and passionate group of young professionals who place the construction industry at the heart of their careers.”

“As future leaders in construction industry, all participants should take full advantage of every program in this event in particular talks by distinguished speakers, young and great achievers who are willing to share their vast experience through great success in their respective career path.”

A line-up of professional forum panellists from CIDB, CIOB, Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM), Persatuan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and Ajiya Bhd also discussed relevant current issues in the construction industry.
