Freshies of Foundation and A Level for the January 2019 Intake attended their orientation programme conducted by the Centre for Pre-University Studies (‘CPUS’)  on 14 January 2019 to provide them with all the important information they needed to know before commencing their studies at TAR UC. 

The orientation began with a welcome address by the Head of CPUS, Mr Yeoh Hock Seng who stressed on the importance of having good values such as being honest, hardworking, caring, respectful, to have integrity, creative and innovative, disciplined and self-motivated, be well-dressed and neat at all times, be confident and vocal and be responsible and reliable. Apart from that, he also talked about how he would like to see the students explore their talents and strength and showcase them to make not only their family and friends proud, but also TAR UC as a whole or even Malaysia as a country.

After the welcome address, the library officer spoke about the various services that the library provides and rules and regulations to observe. There was also a briefing by two representatives from the Department of Student Affairs (‘DSA’) who spoke about matters pertaining to student life at TAR UC.

Mr Teddy Nelson, Head of Division, CPUS, explained in detail about all the do’s and don’ts that students should adhere to when it comes to their studies. After that, students were later briefed by the Student Representative Council (‘SRC’), introduced to clubs and societies and had a campus tour where Block H, Block C and Cyber Centre were shown to them as they would be frequenting these  buildings during their studies as pre-university students.
